How to estimate labels per roll

The calculator subtracts unusable start and end material from the total roll length. It divides the remainder by the label feed length plus inter-label gap, allowing the final label to use the remaining area without an extra trailing gap. Your estimated damaged-label percentage reduces the usable count.

For example, a 100 m roll with 50 mm-long labels, 3 mm gaps and 150 mm unusable material at each end fits about 1,881 labels before allowing for production defects. Add your required usable quantity to estimate how many rolls to buy.

This is a single-lane continuous roll calculator. It does not consider core diameter, winding thickness, multiple labels across the web, die layout or machine-specific registration marks. Confirm actual specifications with the label printer.
